I am not certain exaclty who or it may have just been bits again but I can't remember and I take no credit other than writing this up to share. That zip is attached with the category_game.xml file that goes in the same location.Ĭredit to as he helped me do this a long time ago before I even started using rebug, then when I started using COBRA someone else chimed in and figured out for rebug's cfw we needed two rewrites. The files are category_game.xml and category_game_tool2.xml.įor standard COBRA CFWs you only needed one rewrite. Just get an adapter from wii to pc and you can use this Wii Epic Mickey Paintbrush Nunchuk and it works really well, just bind the button to jump and Forward to the motion sensor, so you press the button as you brush forward. Copy the two files in the REBUG zip and overwrite, you can make a backup of the two files just in case.Navigate to /dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/.On you computer open up your ftp program. Before I thought I had to restart but everytime I did, it was disabled again. Enable writing to dev_flash by mounting dev_blind with multiMAN in the settings column. This is how I did it for rebug CFW 4.80.1 easily applied to other COBRA CFW. I thought maybe some of you would find this useful. Damn near forgot how to remove it, did some searching and put it back together. I was out of the loop for a while, recently updated the PS3 to the latest rebug CFW and multiMAN to kill some time and after updating I saw my hatred for app/home show up, lol. Enlighten me though if it's still useful. I remember a couple years ago a few people agreed it was useless if you were going about your PS3 this way. Maybe there are other uses for it, I dunno. The Disneyland attraction, “it’s a small world,” served as the inspiration for Gremlin Village in the game.I have been removing the app/home entry for the past couple years as I have no use for it since using COBRA and ISOs. In Disney Epic Mickey, the Haunted Mansion takes the form of “Lonesome Manor” and actually includes elements from all the different mansions from the Parks around the world. Next, Warren took the group to New Orleans Square and pointed out that elements of this land can be found in the game’s Ventureland location, as well as a part of Wasteland called “Bog Easy.” Warren describes Ventureland as a “pirate-like and ghost-like place in Wasteland, where Oswald centralized all the Pirates stuff and Ghost stuff, toon and animatronic, that fell into Wasteland.”Īt the Haunted Mansion tour stop, Warren noted that the attraction is one of his favorite rides in the Parks and it had to be included in the game. When I look at the image above, I see a combination of Main Street, U.S.A., and Mickey’s Toontown. Warren stated: “I wanted players to be able to stand in the main square, look around and say to themselves, ‘I’ve been here before!’” Warren began the tour at Disneyland park on Main Street, U.S.A., and explained that this was his inspiration for “Mean Street” in the world of Disney Epic Mickey. As Mickey, the player uses paint and paint thinner to dynamically change Wasteland. It’s a place ruled by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first cartoon star. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney’s current and long forgotten characters and attractions. In the action-adventure platforming game for the Wii console, Mickey Mouse ventures on an epic journey of creativity and discovery. “The game is all about honoring our individual and collective memories of Disney magic,” Warren said on the tour, “and I knew I had to allow players to explore places they’d find familiar – strange, of course, but familiar.”īefore I share highlights from the tour and screenshots from the new game, it’s helpful to have some background. We’re treating you to an inside look here on the Disney Parks Blog. Last Friday, the creator of the new Disney Epic Mickey video game, Warren Spector, led a media tour at Disneyland park to show how the Park inspired him and parts of the game.
